Hey guys!
OK so I have been using my elf products more and more everyday. I have to admit, I first started buying it because of all the YT vids of guru's doing hauls and using here and there but never really used it myself.... I had hit a bump in the road and put myself on a super strict budget and started using nothing but elf.... I love their products more and more each day!! (with the exception of their mascara, the brush just doesnt put enough to show on my lashes!!) So with that said, being I am now a HUGE FAN, once I reach 1k subbies on my YT channel, I am going to be doing an e.l.f giveaway! I'm less than 400 away LOL... Thats a lot I know. But 1k would be a huge milestone for me and I would love everyones support in helping me get there!! I would be doing a video about this but I am having zero luck in finding my charger and its been nearly a month!! Guess I'll be buying a new charger or a new camera LOL... (new charger is WAY cheaper tho!)
The giveaway will be HUGE! It will include all lines of products, not just the $ line =)
Giveaway starts now through the time I reach my goal!
Winner will be chosen at random using random.org. Once i get the number, I will go through my list of subbies and thats how the winner will be chosen. No special look or video needs to be submitted (I still have my contest going on for those that want part in an actual contest tho!!)

Good luck!

April Update
OK, so it's been forever and a day since I posted but here goes....
I just have a couple of things I want to update on.... My youtube contest is one of them. Contest ends 07/31 and I want you all to Show Me What You're Made Of. It could be anything! The skies the limit! I want to see your best makeup look, nail, hair and fashion look! I also have a comment portion in which you need to tell me who your fashion icon is.....
Next update: Weight Loss...
So, I gave upon Li Da... Not because it wasn't working, but there are several reasons.
1- I started at a bad time and was always sick.
2- I plan on joining the Navy
3- I want to keep my body as natural as possible; no supplements.
The only supplement I ever plan on taking is a multi-vitamin supplement. Lots of weight loss supplement have traces of what appear to be drugs that show up on drug tests... With my current job and my goals on joining the military, I can't have that in my system. So, what am I going to do now? Eat right and excercise.
I joined LA Fitness about 2 months ago and feel that with a combo of eating right, I can get on my way to losing weight and being a LOT healthier. Because of my accident, the gym had to be put on hold, but starting this week, my ass is getting back in lol. I also plan on throwing in some P90X into the routine along with Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. P90x I will just do my own version since I can't afford it and 30 day shred is a DVD that I can get from Netflix. I will do some grocery shopping Wed and I'm going to be doing lots of protein... I'm probably going to be doing Atkins and then work my way to South Beach and then when I get to my ultimate goal of 170lbs, I'm just going to maintain a healthy eating lifestyle with excercise.... I'm thinking that being in the military won't be so hard to keep up with that lifestyle hehe....
So I'm off to start this new journey of mine and will be blogging and possibly vlogging about once a week.
OK well I'm going to end this for now. Watching Hoarding on TLC then off to bed. OMG this and Hoarders on A&E is sooooo addicting! lol
Night!

December Update To End 2009
So, the year is finally coming to an end and I hope that 2010 is filled with happier and brighter days.
2009 started off a bit rocky as I lost a good friend due to lies that were spread and her ego getting in the way of apologizing when it was obvious she was in the wrong and jumped to conclusions.
The one year anniversary of my grandfathers death was a lot easier than I thought it would be on my family. My dad did drink to ease the pain but contained himself, the love and support we gave him helped.
The summer months were pretty bad for me. Financially, I sank and I'm still struggling to stay afloat, but able to breathe.
Hubby and I have been trying to have a baby, but its kinda hard when I have not had a visit from Mother Nature in a couple of months. It's been a little bit frustrating but we'll get through this. It's probably just not meant to be right now. And who am I kidding? In economic times like today, it's pretty selfish of me to want one right now. When the time is right, it will happen.
Right now, I'm fairly comfortable where I am. I'm patiently waiting my income tax return so that I can get my brakes fixed and get a new hubcap for my car. Before my car got effed up, I was planning on using the money to get back into school, but it looks like that will have to wait, yet again. I just don't understand how I am not capable of getting financial aid. I am no longer considered a dependent of my parents and have been living on my own for 6 years now making less than 30k a year. I will probably never understand but whatever...
The good: I started on youtube and learned an interest I never knew I had. Still breaking out of my shell but def more comfortable with myself and I feel I have a bit more confidence than before. I have gained many new friends and have become sponsored by an amazing new company breaking into the makeup world. Raving Beauty Cosmetics is by far, the best mineral eyeshadow I have used and I feel honored to be a part of it.
I am also reviewing a diet pill. Well, it's not really a diet pill but more like an herbal food supplement to suppress my hunger. I didn't follow directions last time and hope this time, I will and see some hard core results. I decided I will wait until after the holidays before I start again. More to come on that.
OK, well I am going to end this little tid bit for now. Sitting here at work and while were slower than a tortoise, I just done have much to chat about right now. Gonna surf the net and see what else I can find and learn =)
Happy Holidays!

Li Da Daidaihua Weight Loss Supplements
http://lidaloseweight.com/
So, I started a new weight loss supplement that I vlogged about on my youtube channel (www.youtube.com/funkadelik85) called Lida Dali. These pills are a weight loss supplement made of 100% all natural Chinese herbs. The herbs are known to only grow in "Kingdom of Green Vegetation"Yunnan province. A box from the site is $50 which includes free shipping. It comes with 30 capsules (one month supply) and you take one every morning after breakfast. It is very VERY important you eat a good breakfast and you eat lunch and dinner. If you skip meals, the pills will have nothing in your body to break it down which helps you lose weight. Of course, some type of work out is required. For me, I walk, nothing too drastic. You also want to drink plenty of water (as you should normally do to remain healthy from the inside out) and eat more fruit than normal. It is also recommended you don't drink alcohol while taking the pill as it may neutralize the effect it has on your weight loss process....
OK, now that I'm done talking about the pill (any more info you may need or want can be found at the link above) I'm going to talk more about how the supplement pills have affected me. Since I started, I have not had any negative side affects. A few years ago I tried Hydroxicut and Release. They both made me feel weird and I got sick from just a couple days of taking them. With Li Da, I have yet to have that "weird" feeling and I actually forget I'm taking them. I have noticed a decrease in my appetite and not feeling so tired all the time. This weekend, I didnt even think about food and I actually skipped a couple of meals (actually, I think I only ate 2 meals the entire weekend bc my stomach wasnt growling). I've also noticed I'm not as tired as I normally am. I can wake up after only about 4 or 5 hours of sleep and feel completely rested, compared to having to get at least 8 or 9 hours just before taking them. The one negative side effect I have come accross is dry mouth, which is not that big of a deal, I just drink more water. However, at my job, we are going through Annual Enrollment for benefits elections and I am talking more than normal with explaining the benefits, so that could very well play a part in my recent dry mouth, or it could also be contributing to the side affect of taking the pills... Either way, compared to most side affects on other pills, dry mouth is in no way comparable...
I will do a weigh in after 7 days and every week after that. I'm only doing a month right now, and hopefully if I see physical results and feel even better than I do now, will continue.
Keep posted for more updates!
Peace!

How To Eat Your Way To Healthy Nails
Healthy nails appear smooth, without ridges or grooves. They are uniform in color and consistency and free of spots or discoloration. Ridges or spots in the nail bed can often indicate a nutritional deficiency. Discoloration of the nails, such as a green or yellow color, can be an indication of something more serious, like chronic bronchitis. Like I said in my previous posts, you are what you eat. It shows in your hair, skin and even nails!
Try eating more walnuts and almonds to help maintain better nails. They have Omega-3, which as you know by now is a necessary fatty acid for over all health. Fatty acids in nails makes them stronger as less prone to splitting.
You also want wheats in your diet. Wheats contain iron which is great for healthy nails. You also want to include meat, eggs, dark veggies and legumes into your diet as more source of protein. The more the better, but like everything else, do not overdue it.
Your nails are made up of the same protein found on your skin and hair; keratin. Lack of protein takes away the layers of this protein like an onion. Slowly start to peel it away and your left with virtually nothing, thats why unhealthy nails break so easy. They don't have enough protective layers for strength. It is recommended that women eat, on average, 4-6 ounces of protein per meal. Men need just a bit more at 5-7 ounces.
The point is; eating better not only improves your metabolism and energy, it also improves your appearance such as losing weight and maintaining it at a healthy level, skin, hair and nails!
That's all I have to say for now. When I come across more helpful info, I will not hesitate to share.
Peace!
